Patricia Thompson, Ph.D. is a seasoned consultant, educator, and coach dedicated to helping individuals and organizations reach their fullest potential. With a passion for cultivating talent, making data-driven hiring decisions, and fostering positive workplace cultures, Patricia has been partnering with businesses - from startups to Fortune 500 companies - since 2004. Her insights are informed by her experience partnering with clients in a range of industries including finance, manufacturing, government, healthcare, private equity, retail, aerospace, technology, energy, food and beverage, media, and others.

Patricia's approach is rooted in the science of psychology, empowering her clients to apply proven principles for achieving outstanding results. She is an accomplished educator, having taught courses and led seminars at prestigious institutions including Wharton Business School, the University of Toronto, Emory University, Spelman College, and Georgia State University. Her online courses on leadership, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness, have been taken by over 50,000 students around the world. Further, her advice has been featured in her book The Consummate Leader (which was endorsed by Adam Grant and Marshall Goldsmith), along with top-tier publications such as the Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, and Inc., Wharton Business Radio, Time, and ABC News Radio.

Originally from Alberta, Canada, Patricia completed her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Toronto. She then went on to earn her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Georgia State University, completing her predoctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania and her postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University’s School of Medicine. As an executive coach, Patricia is known for her collaborative and behaviorally informed approach, guiding her clients toward meaningful and lasting change.

In her free time, Patricia enjoys playing tennis, working out, playing the piano, reading, meditating, and being a cheerleader at her son’s many soccer games.
