Lisa Gordon, Partner

Lisa’s passion for the intersection of psychology and organizations took root during her doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota. Early in her career, she was entrusted with leading the Vocational Assessment Clinic—the first year it was required to be fully financially independent. Under her leadership, the center achieved its most successful year to date, igniting her enthusiasm for running a business and delivering measurable impact.

Following graduate school, Lisa first joined a global industrial-organizational consultancy, where she assessed and coached executives for Fortune 500 companies. Over the past two decades, through GreyBirch and at MDA Leadership Consulting, she has partnered with organizations of all sizes, helping them unlock growth through talent strategy, leadership and team coaching, and strategic planning. With deep expertise across industries, she has guided senior leaders and executives through a broad variety of challenges, equipping them to navigate complexity with confidence. She is particularly interested in leadership agility—the strongest predictor of success in today’s fast-evolving business landscape—and has developed a high-performing teams model and assessment to help organizations accelerate their growth.

As Vice President of Executive Coaching Services at MDA, and member of the Senior Leadership Team, she was responsible for thought leadership, service design, selection and development of executive coaches, business development, tools, and all financial and operational metrics for the practice. She was very proud of the world-class service that she and her team created together.

Lisa’s work today is grounded in the sciences of leadership, organizational design, and psychology, ensuring a rigorous, evidence-based approach. She understands that no two organizations are alike and thrives on immersing herself in a client’s unique business context and strategy to deliver solutions that drive meaningful, lasting change.

Beyond her consulting work, Lisa has taught graduate courses at the University of Minnesota, and her research and insights have been featured in an edited book, professional conferences, and major publications, including Minnesota Law & Politics, The Star Tribune, and New York Newsday.

Lisa is the proud parent of two sons—one a college freshman studying Political Science, the other a practicing EMT. Outside of work, she enjoys designing and bringing creative ideas to life. She also enjoys running and biking and has been a life-long fan and player of tennis.
