John Cooper, Partner

John Cooper is an experienced executive and team coach for top leaders, executives, and managers. With over 30 years of combined coaching, consulting, and business experience, including sales/operations leadership, he appreciates both the strategic and day-to-day demands of an organizational leader. His diverse background gives him the perspective and ability to help leaders make positive changes for their organization, careers, work, and personal lives. He holds the credential of Master Certified Coach from the International Coaching Federation.  

 

Since leaving his corporate career, John has helped hundreds of leaders and teams accelerate their performance and development. John has coached leaders and their teams in a broad spectrum of business functions including Sales, Marketing, Strategy, IT, HR, Operations, General Management, Finance, and Executive Directors. In addition to Executive Coaching, he has a strong background in organization consulting including initiatives in organizational change, facilitating strategy sessions, organizational design, and customized leadership/team training. He believes that every leader has their own unique style and customizes his approach to help leaders enhance their natural strengths and improve in their development areas. He believes that performance, job satisfaction and fulfillment are all essential ingredients to  leadership success.

 

For the past thirteen years, John has been an adjunct professor teaching leadership and strategic thinking at Northwestern University. John blends deep business and academic knowledge to advance leaders in their knowledge, skills, and abilities. John is past President of the Organization Development Network of Chicago, and past board member of the Human Resource Management Association of Chicago. John has led large change efforts and understands the relationship between leadership and organizational systems and culture.
